If you’ve already had the pleasure of exploring the brown envelope, you’ll know that Don’t Panic is a free weekly bunch of goodies with artist designed packaging and posters. They’re always on the lookout for new submissions by artists, designers, illustrators, photographers etc (anything visual really). Simply email them your files, under 4MB.
If you have an upcoming exhibition in Melbourne or Sydney, they’ll also chuck your flyers in their bags. Drop them a line and see what they can do for you.
Last year at Christmas they were also on the lookout for artists to Adopt a Box, revamping it before its installed in trendy shops, cinemas and galleries. I assume they’re still taking submissions as I am yet to see any customised boxes around, and they still haven’t taken the info of their myspace page. Hey – it can’t hurt to try.
To enter, email some examples or links to your work to adoptabox@dontpanicmedia.com.au. It is only open to people living in Sydney and Melbourne metropolitan areas. And please don’t flood their inbox with giant files.
